Anushka Sharma Surprises Fans With A Picture Of Her And Virat Kohli's Daughter, Vamika On The Occasion Of Durga Ashtami
Vamika is another name for Goddess Durga.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, a baby girl, earlier this year, but have refrained from sharing her pictures on social media. But the occasion of Durga Ashtami, ritually known to celebrate and worship young girls in India, was an exception. The producer-actor wished her fans and surprised them with an adorable picture of her daughter, Vamika.
Taking to Instagram, Anushka posted a picture of Vamika wherein her face cannot be properly seen, but a tiny glimpse is enough to tell us she is adorable! Anushka wrote in the caption, "Making me braver and more courageous every day . May you always find the strength of the goddess in you my little Vamika. Happy Ashtami."
For the unversed, Vamika is another name for Goddess Durga.

Anushka's post was instantly flooded with comments from her fans and friends. Actress Mouni Roy dropped heart and a trident emoji. Vaani Kapoor also left a heart emoticon on the picture.
Earlier this year, during an Ask Me Anything session, when Virat was asked the meaning of Vamika, the cricketer replied, “Vamika is another name for goddess Durga. No, we have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot at Borgo Finocchieto in Italy's Tuscany in 2017.
